This route\, which will take approximately two and a half hours and covers 7 kilometres\, will begin at 10:30 am from Bar Flotante in Talamanca. Meeting point: Bar Flotante\, Talamanca\, at 10:30 am.Difficulty: Easy.Total distance: 7 km.Elevation gain: 10 m.Duration: Two to two and a half hours.NO DOGS ALLOWED.Register and make a donation of €5 per person. Click here to download your bib. This is an easy circular walk through the Ses Feixes natural reserve. Much of this ancient land was reclaimed from the sea. Starting in the Arab period\, the land was divided into plots (146 in total\, covering an area of 600\,000 square metres) surrounded by narrow canals and crossed by drainage ditches. Each plot was accessed via a distinctive gate (“compuertas”)\, which we will see along our route. Water was drawn from wells using a hydraulic wheel powered by mules (Noria or Senia). Later\, in the mid-19th century\, windmills were introduced to the island\, and we will see an example during our walk. Our walk will start and finish at Bar Flotante\, Talamanca.
