The outdoor family film cycle ‘Cinema at the Beach’ will close its 2026 edition this Sunday, August 23, at 21:15 hours, on the beach of Cala Llonga with the screening of ‘Inside Out 2’ (2024), in Spanish with English subtitles. The last session, with free access, will culminate an initiative promoted by the Santa Eulària des Riu Town Hall and Cinema Paradiso, in collaboration with the Cala Llonga Neighborhood Association, which has filled the summer with cinema by the sea and has contributed to consolidating Cala Llonga as a reference destination for family leisure, culture, and solidarity.

The programming began on July 26 with ‘IF’ (2024) and continued on August 9 with ‘The Croods’ (2013), bringing together families, residents, and visitors around a proposal designed for all audiences. ‘Inside Out 2’ will now put the finishing touch to the cycle in an event integrated into the Festes de Cala Llonga. All proceeds from the sale of refreshments and donations from attendees will be entirely allocated to the Ibiza and Formentera Association Against Cancer, IFCC.

From the Ibiza and Formentera Association Against Cancer, they wanted to highlight the collaboration of the Santa Eulària des Riu Town Hall, the Cala Llonga Neighborhood Association, and Cinema Paradiso, whose involvement makes a new edition of this solidarity cycle possible. “Every summer we see that cinema can also become a tool for raising awareness, creating community, and raising funds aimed at improving the quality of life of cancer patients in the Pitiusas and their families,” they emphasized from the NGO.

‘Inside Out 2’ (2024)

‘Inside Out 2’ (2024), known in Spain as ‘Del revés 2’, once again delves into Riley’s mind just as the protagonist enters adolescence. An unexpected reform at headquarters forces Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust to coexist with new emotions led by Anxiety, accompanied by Envy, Shame, and Ennui. A story that humorously and sensitively addresses the changes, contradictions, and insecurities typical of this vital stage.

Directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, the Disney and Pixar film is rated suitable for all audiences and has a duration of one hour and 36 minutes.

Ibiza and Formentera Association Against Cancer

The Ibiza and Formentera Association Against Cancer, IFCC, has been working for 25 years to help patients and families in the Pitiusas during their cancer treatments, as well as providing medical supplies, brochures, or funding for transfers and treatments outside the islands.

This year IFCC, in collaboration with the Santa Eulària des Riu Town Hall, has launched a pilot project called Hospice, a support service aimed at people with cancer in the final phase of their lives and their families, which is offered free of charge to cancer patients in the municipality with a life expectancy of less than twelve months.

In 2025, the Association funded a new car for the Palliative Care Unit, 46 new chairs and side tables for the waiting room of the oncology day hospital and the radiology room. This work is in addition to the provision of recliners, televisions, and headphones for oncology patients at Can Misses Hospital. Additionally, IFCC is promoting a campaign to strengthen colon cancer detection and increase participation in the screening program, which in 2024 was 28%.

IFCC has also financed the decoration of the oncology nursing consultations and the Palliative Care Unit, the acquisition of an endoscope for Formentera Hospital, colon cancer and lymphedema screening projects in the Pitiusas, and several vehicles for the Palliative Unit.
