The money raised during this event will be used to finance the different projects that the Association currently has underway, among them a service aimed at accompanying people with cancer in the final phase of their lives and their relatives, Hospice, in collaboration with the City Council of Santa Eulària des Riu, which is offered free of charge to oncological patients in the municipality with a life expectancy of less than twelve months. In this regard, the president of IFCC highlighted that “our intention is to check how this first year works and be able to extend the service as soon as possible to the rest of the municipalities on the island, so that more families can benefit from this much-needed accompaniment.”
Likewise, in recent years, the Ibiza and Formentera Association Against Cancer, IFCC, has funded a new car for the Palliative Care Unit, has donated recliners for Oncology patients at Can Misses Hospital, 46 new chairs and side tables for the waiting room of the oncology day hospital and the radiology room, in addition to televisions and headphones for the chemotherapy room of this reference center in Ibiza and Formentera.
At the same time, IFCC continues to promote a new campaign among the island’s society to strengthen the promotion of colon cancer detection, aiming to improve the participation rate, which was only 28% in 2024.

Solidarity food at Sonrojo Beach & Chiringuito
The restaurant Sonrojo Beach & Chiringuito, located between Ibiza city and Santa Eulària des Riu, offered attendees a complete experience by the shores of Cala Llonga beach, with a solidarity menu designed to celebrate this special occasion in a cozy and authentic setting.
Since its opening in 2023, Sonrojo integrates into the Ennismore universe, with Hyde Ibiza and Mondrian Ibiza as references on the island, reaffirming its commitment to the Ibiza and Formentera Against Cancer Association and other local initiatives that promote the social fabric of the island.
The meal began with a tapa of paella, a shot of salmorejo, and a ham croquette as an appetizer, followed by several shared starters, such as Russian salad with shrimp and tuna belly, Sonrojo bravas with almonds, and Andalusian-style calamari with citrus mayonnaise. As the main course, attendees could choose between Ibiza-style grilled chicken thigh with herbed smashed potatoes and fresh chimichurri, grilled sea bass with creamy carrot puree and sautéed microgreens, or grilled confit artichokes with avocado cream and parsley. Finally, the menu was completed with a variety of desserts to provide a sweet touch to this charitable celebration.
During the event, the band The Rosemary Family, consisting of Mario Romero on guitar and lead vocals, Alfonso Hernández on electric bass and backing vocals, and Samuel de Lara on percussion, were in charge of entertaining this gathering with a combination of Latin rhythms such as salsa, ska, along with blues and rock and roll, creating a festive and summery atmosphere with their live music.
